Erin is a Canadian educator who was born in Montreal, Quebec and was raised in Kingston, Ontario. As a French Immersion student growing up, Erin developed an interest in learning more about different languages and cultures which charted the course for her career in International education.
After high school, Erin returned to Montreal to obtain her Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University and she then went on to acquire her Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Toronto. She continued her studies by completing her Guidance Counseling specialization from Queen’s University and the University of Toronto. Erin has also completed her Certificate in College Counseling from UC San Diego.
Erin acquired a Master of Science degree in 2012 from the State University of New York while she was working at Singapore American School. Her thesis focused on the impact of extracurricular activities on the body image of female students. She strongly believes that student well-being is at the core of their success and she can often be found encouraging her students to remember the importance of self-care.
Erin has been working as a Comprehensive High School Counselor at the American School of Dubai in the UAE since 2021. She has over 20 years of experience working in International schools as both a High School Counselor and teacher. Erin has worked in Italy, Thailand, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland and now Dubai. She is an avid runner who also enjoys spinning, and golf.
