Martin Cox is the Director General of the John Locke Institute, which runs residential academic programmes in Oxford, Princeton, Washington D.C., and Singapore for exceptional students in the humanities, social sciences and philosophy.
Martin was an entrepreneur and company director in the transport and retail sectors before taking a degree at the University of Oxford, as a mature student, in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, after which he became a lecturer in economics at Oxford.
Of the John Locke Institute’s 26,000 alumni, many have travelled to the US to take degrees at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Georgetown, Chicago or Stanford, or have travelled from abroad to take degrees at Oxford, Cambridge or LSE.
