Jeanette Eriksson is the Head of Admissions at University of Portsmouth, overseeing an Admissions team in charge of recruiting home students and the management of course information. Jeanette is also an honorary global award nominee coach, specialising in leadership including self-leadership, and was appointed assistant coach to the England Women’s handball team leading up to the Olympics in 2012.
Jeanette has over 20 years of UK higher education experience and before joining the University of Portsmouth just over 3 years ago, Jeanette previously held a Head of Admissions role at London Metropolitan University before setting up her own coaching and HE consulting business ‘Nordicly’.
Whether in Higher Education, on the handball pitch or for individual empowerment and ‘being your best’; Jeanette is passionate about providing clear, honest and motivating leadership, building self-trust and confidence, and getting individuals & teams to be brave, flexible and solution driven.
Jeanette is Swedish (now also a British citizen) and has lived in the UK since 1994. Being based in London for over 25 years, she has now swapped Hackney for Hayling Island, which includes reclaiming lunch breaks with occasional sea swims.
