International Teachers’ and Advisers’ Conference 2020 – CANCELLED

As a qualified careers adviser for 15 years, Yvonne has worked with young people and adults of all ages in a variety of settings. In her current role as Head of Careers at Wootton Academy Trust in Bedfordshire, she is passionate about supporting her students to develop the cognizant, opportunity-aware, and career management skills necessary to navigate their future education and career journeys. Since September 2017, Yvonne has led a project to redefine the careers information, education, advice, and guidance on offer to students, which has culminated in meeting the Gatsby benchmarks for good guidance, and achieving the national Quality in Careers Standard in February 2020. Having worked in secondary, further, and higher education, Yvonne has seen the power that peer-to-peer conversations can have on students, and is always looking for opportunities to make these interactions possible.
