A new day nursery and pre-school will open this September, run by Bright Horizons Family Solutions Ltd and housed in UCAS’ headquarters in Cheltenham.

Bright Horizons is one of the leading providers in the UK, and whilst it will primarily benefit staff at the Rosehill office on New Barn Lane, it will also offer a number of spaces to members of the local community.

There will be 50 places available in the nursery that will offer day care and pre-school education to children aged three months to five years. Bright Horizons currently operates over 200 nurseries in the UK and Ireland and approximately 50 of these are workplace nurseries.

Denise Priest, Director of Employer Partnerships at Bright Horizons, said, “Bright Horizons is delighted to partner with UCAS to open a nursery at their Rosehill office.  Opening a nursery onsite highlights UCAS’ commitment to supporting their employees, and allows working parents to focus on their roles, knowing that their children are only moments away, happily playing in a stimulating and safe environment that enables them to flourish.”

Mary Curnock Cook, UCAS’ Chief Executive said: “Providing a workplace nursery for our staff is a signal that we recognise the particular challenges for colleagues wanting to combine a fulfilling career with bringing up a family. Early indications are that both male and female staff are excited about the opportunity to have their children looked after on-site in a high quality nursery with access to a wonderful expanse of outdoor space.”
