Summary
Cardiac physiologists work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in acute settings. Their actions and interpretations inform critical healthcare decisions and impact on life and death situations. They work at the very forefront of technological advances aiding the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. Cardiac Physiology (Healthcare Science) is a challenging but rewarding field that focuses on the detection and assessment of heart disease in a wide range of settings.
Currently, there are only five providers in the UK that offer students the opportunity to study this subject.
