We’re constantly improving our search tool, which now includes courses for 2019.

These are the latest developments:

  • Filter by entry requirements – is live for courses starting in 2019, and helps students  uncertain about where to begin their research, to narrow down over 50,000 courses.

Students enter their predicted or achieved grades using Tariff points, then course results are returned in an equal range on both sides of that value. The Tariff calculator is available as a pop-up, and the filter can be used alongside subject, location, and provider filters. We’ve provided help text to give students the information they need to use the filter effectively.

  • Group by provider filter – is the default view when you go to search results from the ucas.com homepage. This displays courses alphabetically by provider, and then by relevancy. There is still the option of viewing the course list separately to the ‘Group by provider’ list.
  • Course display improvements – students can now see providers’ 2018 courses alongside 2019 courses, and view all the options on one summary page.
  • Unistats widget – we’ve updated the Unistats information on the course details page, to give some key statistics.
  • The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Year Three ratings – will be displayed for undergraduate courses, from 11 June.
