What's changing?
We’re adding an additional layer of security, meaning each time you sign in to our services you’ll be asked to enter a unique code which we’ll email you from [email protected].
The unique code will be sent to the email address you’ve registered with.
You’ll then have five minutes to copy it across to the security check screen to complete the sign in.
Why have we made the change?
Unfortunately, there have been significant increases in cyber-security incidents with schools, colleges and higher education providers which puts us all at risk. When an attack takes place on a registered centre, we are forced to suspend all adviser portal access for that centre, and in some cases, we need to wipe all data associated the centre which is extremely disruptive.
Multi-factor authentication is part of the latest guidance for the education sector from the National Cyber Security Centre, and we must implement this new step to our sign-in process. We appreciate an additional layer of security can be frustrating, but it will help us verify it’s really you signing in, and preventing anyone else from accessing your account and accessing your and your student's data.
