Medic Mentor is a non-profit national medical organisation for applying students, medical students, doctors, and teachers.

We specialise in helping students apply to medicine, and award students with merit-based scholarships to study medicine at university.

Medic Mentor is run by a UK-wide network of volunteer doctors, dentists, and vets who provide UCAS support and teach students how to become successful future doctors, NHS leaders, dentists, and vets. As part of this network, we established Medic Mentor Education to support teachers and careers leaders with the nuances of applying to these courses.

School support is completely free for all schools, and we welcome schools onto our dedicated caseload support service. This service offers tailored support to schools, such as raising aspirations, or mentoring teachers and applying students with the knowledge gained by our volunteer network of clinicians and education professionals.

Joining our caseload support service is completely free, and includes exclusive access to curriculum relevant lessons from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5. All lessons are delivered by clinicians to help include medical, dental, and veterinary careers into the curriculum and support strategic UCAS applications.

Teachers are provided with engagement and progress tracking for students registered with Medic Mentor. We also consider any other support on individual request.

For students, we provide application support, advice, and guidance by offering a range of engagement programmes for all needs. As a social enterprise, the majority of student engagement support is completely funded, consisting of insight conferences, virtual work experience and leadership development programmes. Students will have the opportunity to speak to clinicians and receive guidance from those who have participated in the admissions process as both students and part of the admissions teams at various universities.

I am really impressed by all the amazing resources available for students, and so many of them free. It is making a positive difference to our students’ confidence and desire to MDV. Thanks!
