It’s National Apprenticeship Week! 4 – 8 March

Help your students discover the world of apprenticeships…
Posted Mon 4 March 2019 - 09:00

Throughout this week, we’ll be sharing useful information to help your students find out how apprenticeships work, where to find one, and what’s available. To get involved, all they need to do is head over to Twitter or Facebook, and use #NAW2019.

If your students are interested in finding out more, here are four steps to help them decide whether an apprenticeship is the right option for them…

Step 1 – Explore apprenticeships

If your students are interested in apprenticeships, get them signed up for UCAS updates! We’ll make sure they’re aware of all their options, and give them timely, relevant advice, based on what they’re interested in.

Step 2 – Get inspired

With inspirational, bite-sized talks, and a dedicated area featuring some of the UK’s biggest employers and organisations – including Google, Rolls Royce, PwC, and the National Apprenticeship Service – there are loads of opportunities for your students at this year’s Manchester, London, Bristol, and Birmingham events. See what’s happening at your local event.

Step 3 – Get informed

Visit our apprenticeships hub on ucas.com – it covers everything from the different types of apprenticeships, to how to find and apply for them, advantages and disadvantages, and much more.

Step 4 – Search for vacancies

Choosing the right apprenticeship is important. Get your students to read our advice on how to find the perfect one, and explore higher and degree apprenticeship vacancies in England using our apprenticeship search tool.
