Supporting student choice

Next week, Radio 1’s Katie Thistleton launches a new podcast series Clearing Choices, exploring the different options and choices available to students as they approach results day. Whether they do better than expected, have changed their mind or things don’t go to plan, Katie discusses with the expert panel what choices your students have.

From this week, students will be receiving personalised emails to alert them to their updated application status and provide them with timely information.

In an enhancement to previous years’ emails, when applicants are placed, the email will include that exact course, university or college. On SQA and JCQ results days applicants will be emailed with their Confirmation status shortly after applications go live, and this will include course and provider information for those who are placed.

This year the email messaging is enhanced with support and guidance relevant to a student’s status, including The Ultimate Guide to Clearing, which is packed with advice from universities, careers advisers, mental health ambassadors, and fellow students.
