About us

Escape Studios is one of the UK's leading creative schools, supplying the industry with studio-ready talent across animation, games, VFX, concept art, motion graphics and more. Our courses are designed and delivered with industry experts within a welcoming, close-knit and successful community.

Our world-class industry partners include Industrial Light & Magic, Framestore, DNEG, Milk VFX, Creative Assembly, Cinesite and Blue Zoo. Through our partnership with Epic Games, we were the UK’s first Unreal Authorized Training Center and are an Unreal Engine Academic Partner.

Approved and endorsed internationally as a Rookies, Toon Boom Harmony and Houdini certified school, we offer a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and short courses.

Our Escapees have worked on Golden Globe and Oscar-winning films such as Avatar: Fire and Ash, Jurassic World Rebirth, Wicked: For Good and KPop Demon Hunters, and popular games Assassin’s Creed, Last of Us II – Remastered and Call of Duty Black Ops 7.

Our student short films have been nominated and won over 500 international film festival awards over the years. Student project Jerich0 even made the shortlist for the Student BAFTA Awards and won ‘film of the year’ in The Rookies.

Designed, developed and delivered with industry.  

  • We work with a range of world-class industry partners, including the likes of Blue Zoo, Creative Assembly, DNEG, Framestore and Industrial Light & Magic. They’re central to the way we’re run; from the curriculum we teach and how it’s delivered, to special events, scholarships and feedback on student work.
  • Our industry-experienced tutors are experts in their fields, including certified trainers for Unreal Engine, Autodesk and Houdini. They've worked at studios such as Walt Disney, Framestore, EA and Jagex.
  • Over 4,000 successful alumni. At the 2026 Oscars, Escapees had worked on every film nominated for the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects - Avatar: Fire and Ash, F1, Jurassic World Rebirth, The Last Bus and Sinners.
  • Based in London, we’re close to some of the biggest studios in the world. Our campus is in the heart of London's Design District on the Greenwich Peninsula, with amazing views of the River Thames and Canary Wharf.
