Student life

We are incredibly lucky to have two beautiful teaching campuses on the doorstep of one of Europe’s most vibrant cities, making Liverpool Hope University a great place to study.

We have invested heavily over a number of years to ensure we have the best facilities for our students. These include:

- 2 libraries

- a gym

- a sports hall

- a shop

- 2 restaurants

- 7 cafes

- a laundrette

- a number of Halls of Residence, totalling over 1,100 student rooms across 3 sites.

Our investment doesn’t stop there, we also offer extensive pastoral care and support to help you along your journey. Our Student Support and Wellbeing team provide an integrated one-stop shop for pastoral support services, meaning you don’t get passed around between departments.

We also offer academic and learning support from both your subject tutors and a team of personal academic support tutors based within each School/Department.

What's it like to live in North West?
Check out our region guide

The North West is made up of Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Merseyside. Its two biggest cities, Liverpool and Manchester, are global landmarks in music and football history.

The region was the heart of the industrial revolution – at one time, Lancashire produced half the world’s cotton. Many architectural reminders of this era remain, like Liverpool’s Royal Albert Docks and Chester's Victorian centre.

The stunning Lake District – home to England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike – needs no filters, while Blackpool is a seaside adventure.

Hope Park is our main teaching campus and is situated in Childwall, a leafy suburb of Liverpool. The campus is a mini educational village with places to live, work, study, eat and relax.

Creative Campus is the home to our creative and performing arts degrees. It is based in the city centre of Liverpool and is a constant hive of activity, with teaching, living and social spaces – and an on-site theatre.

Aigburth Park is our residential-only campus providing accommodation for continuing, postgraduate and international students.

Plas Caerdeon is our outdoor education centre based in Snowdonia, North Wales. It delivers residential outdoor activity courses to a wide range of external groups, including schools, youth groups of all ages, university students and staff.
