ResearchResearch, scholarship and ideas are at the core of Durham University. Our academic staff conduct boundary-breaking research, collaborating with a broad mix of partners. Our ten research institutes bring staff together to work collaboratively, both across departments and with external partners, and we have an extensive range of state-of-the-art research equipment and facilities across a range of disciplines. Research directly informs our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and in partnership with policy-makers, industry, the public sector and communities around the world, shapes local, national and international agendas.
