Student life
Whether you're continuing your studies straight after school or college, or you're returning to education later in life, studying at university is an experience that will stay with you long after you graduate.
Here at London Met, you'll have access to an abundance of opportunities that will help you:
- meet people from all kinds of backgrounds – many of our students have found friends for life here – as well as meeting people through your course, there are a whole range of activities, from taking up a sport to joining a society, to help you meet like-minded people
- enhance your job prospects – we have a whole host of initiatives to help you succeed outside of your course, including through our business incubator Accelerator, which can help you start your own business
- earn while you learn – we can help you find paid roles that will look fantastic on your CV – as well as having our very own in-house temping agency, you can also become a student ambassador, success coach or content ambassador
Campus and facilities
We have two campuses – one on the bustling Holloway Road in Islington, north London, and the other in Aldgate, east London, home to our art, architecture and design courses. Both have excellent transport links and can be easily accessed from all over the city and beyond.
Holloway – Home to the majority of our courses, our Holloway campus is located right next to the Emirates Stadium and is home to our largest library as well as subject-specific facilities such as our £13m Science Centre, Cyber Security Research Centre, interpreting suite, mock courtroom, journalism newsroom and theatre performance spaces. It also houses our student venue The Rocket and two large outdoor courtyards.
Aldgate – Home to our School of Art, Architecture and Design, our Aldgate campus is located near Whitechapel Gallery, Petticoat Lane, and Spitalfields and Columbia Road markets. The facilities on campus include specialist workshops for wood, metal, ceramics, jewellery, photography, media, textiles and more.
