Student life
As a student, you’ll be at the heart of everything we do. That includes ensuring you get support whenever you need it. Your personal tutor will help you get the best out of your studies by offering advice on issues such as choosing the best option modules to match your career plan. We also offer a range of online resources to boost your study skills.
We want you to enjoy your time without worrying about the rising cost of living, which is why we have doubled the total amount available in our Hardship Funds. We have also worked with Greenwich Students’ Union (GSU) to develop a cost-of-living checklist, as well as other ways to support you.
GSU is a vital part of university life that represents our students and provides them with a voice. It organises events across the university, including nights out and the annual Varsity competition. There are also over 120 academic, fun and sports-related student societies.
Campus and facilities
You’ll feel at home on our three campuses in south-east London and Kent from day one, whether you’re living there or commuting for your studies. Greenwich Campus has one of the most beautiful settings in the UK and sits in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the banks of the River Thames.
It’s also just across the water from Canary Wharf, a dynamic Global business centre. A few miles away in leafy Eltham is Avery Hill Campus, our specialist site for teachers and health professionals, where teaching spaces and halls of residence are all on-site. You don’t have to venture far for anything on our Medway Campus, our science and engineering hub in North Kent, where there’s also a lively atmosphere.
There are a range of sports facilities to enjoy across our campuses, including two all-weather sports pitches at Avery Hill.
Our student accommodation is safe and secure with 24/7 support. What’s more, you can live there every year of your course if you meet a few simple criteria.
