The BSc Data Science is designed to address this challenge by providing you with up-to-date knowledge and skills for a career in this rapidly evolving field.
This programme will help you develop essential data analysis and modelling skills, including programming, statistics, software engineering, data curation, and more. Additionally, the topic you study will provide you with advanced knowledge and techniques applicable to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Distributed Systems and Cyber Security.
Throughout the programme, you will enhance your employability by also engaging with the legal and ethical standards relating to data while also learning how to effectively communicate data-driven ideas and solutions that can inform decision-making in any type of organisation.

Students are assessed by any combination of three assessment methods: Coursework such as essays and reports completed throughout the course; Practical assessments of the skills and competencies they learn on the course; Written examinations at the end of each course. The exact mix of these methods differs between subject areas, years of study and individual courses.
Honours projects are typically assessed on the basis of a written dissertation.
