Course summary
Our BSc Agricultural Business Management degree with Placement Year will enable you to become a successful manager or consultant within the agricultural sector.
You will study at the UK’s leading university for environmental and ethical performance (the University of Reading is ranked 1st in the People and Planet University League, 2023/24). We are also the highest-ranking UK university in this subject area and one of the top 20 universities in the world for Agriculture and Forestry (QS World University Rankings by Subject, 2023).
This is a multidisciplinary degree programme combining the study of management with agricultural processes. It will give you an understanding of the economic and business principles that underlie management and its application to agricultural and land-based industries. You will gain skills in critical observation and analysis of financial and business management systems, along with practical knowledge and commercial expertise.

In recognition of the excellent preparation that the Extended Project Qualification provides to students for University study, we now include achievement in the EPQ as part of a formal offer. Eligible applicants would receive two offers, our usual offer plus an alternative offer of a B in the EPQ and one grade lower in their A level subjects
