Civil engineering combines your creativity with technological and scientific knowledge that can change the world. You will learn how to design and manage high-profile projects. Working together in teams you'll learn about:
structures
geotechnics
materials
hydraulics and fluid mechanics
highway and transport engineering
surveying
construction management
Also as part of your course you will take part in site visits to see civil engineering in action. You will access research and laboratory facilities, including:
preparation and testing facilities for structures, geotechnics and materials
fluid mechanics teaching laboratory
state-of-the-art surveying equipment
design studios
CAD/BIM
The Civil Engineering MEng programme is the preferred route to achieving Chartered Engineer status. Our courses give you the required engineering expertise for either a career in industry or in many other professions that value an analytical, creative mind.
