Our multidisciplinary BEng (Hons) Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering course focuses on energy generation, technology, demand and supply. Join us to be a part of the solution to combat climate change for the 21st century.
We’re preparing the next generation of energy engineers to take on one of the most pressing issues facing society – the future security of our energy supply. On this course you’ll explore the generation, transmission, storage and uses of renewable energy, ready to pursue a rewarding and sustainable career in engineering.
As scientists make dire predictions about the catastrophic impact that climate change is likely to have on future generations, governments and industries are urgently seeking new ways of powering our homes, cities and economies without devastating our world.
On our multidisciplinary BEng (Hons) Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering, you can tailor the degree to suit your interests. Whether it’s designing and installing renewable energy systems such as wind or solar, working with nuclear power, designing tomorrow’s carbon capture technology or providing future advice on energy efficiency and low carbon technology to business and industry, this course is adaptable towards your career goals.

Outside the classroom you can join our Sustainable Engineering programmes such as the Eco–Car Challenge and our new Wind project, working with a diverse group of students and staff on projects using complex systems.
