The foundation year of this Coventry University degree will be delivered from our CU Coventry campus. Course delivery from year 1 of the degree onwards will be from Coventry University campus.
This course aims to provide you with a solid grounding for building a successful career in this fast-paced, ever-changing industrial sector.
The foundation year aims to provide you with a solid grounding in mathematical principles and an understanding of the core technology associated with the use and application of computer systems. Professional and academic skills are integrated across all modules, including information finding and handling, problem solving, and the communication of outcomes. Students who successfully complete their foundation year will then progress onto the Computer Science BSc (Hons) degree within Coventry University’s School of Computing, Mathematics and Data Science.
Whether you see your future self as an app developer, a systems administrator, or an information technology specialist, the degree part of the course aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills you will need to help drive the digital revolution. You will:
• Develop the practical skills and theoretical knowledge you need to create software solutions which address demanding user expectations and complex customer requirements
• Explore fascinating fields, such as artificial intelligence, parallel programming, and data science, and learn how these areas continue to drive major change in the domain of computer science.
