Course summary

Our Film and Television course offers you tailored programme mixing lecturers, practical equipment teaching and location shooting.

This programme will develop you as a professional, self-reflective individual to meet the demands of employers in the film and television sector.
You will develop skills, knowledge and understanding in a range of disciplines from research, planning, screenwriting, single-camera location shooting, sound and lighting and post-production.

Our Digital Media Studio provides the perfect environment to launch your career in the film and television industries. State-of-the-art broadcast quality production equipment including a green screen television studio, professional editing facilities, and industry-level software will enable you to produce a top-class portfolio of work.

You will gain an understanding of how the film and television industries work, and to learn how historical and current developments and contexts have informed production techniques.

You will have a balance between employability skills, industry knowledge, and confidence to have a major impact in a new era of technology. Above all, you will build a body of work that prepares you for entry into the media workplace or further higher education.

You should also have five GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C) including English Language.
