Course summary

This British Psychological Society accredited degree enables you to apply psychology to the field of sports and exercise and sports performance. The course provides a scientific understanding of the human mind and behaviour, addressing the key areas of psychology; developmental, biological, social, cognitive, individual differences and research methods. You will be regularly putting theory into practice, through enquiry based learning and other opportunities where your curiosity about psychology, sports and working with people will develop as you learn through both group and individual projects.

Entry requirements for advanced entry (i.e. into Year 2 and beyond)

Entry for year 2 & 3 will require appropriate study at Level 4 & 5 for the relevant year. This is 120 credits at Level 4 for Year 2 entry, and 120 Credits & level 4 & 5 for year 3 entry, from an equivalent course elsewhere.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DMM

We will accept triple grades achieved from a combination of other BTEC qualifications

Access to HE Diploma

Achieve 23-45 level 3 credits at merit/distinction including 6 level 3 credits at Distinction.

AS

We will accept 2 AS levels in lieu of one A level but must be accompanied by 2 A Levels or BTECs General Studies is excluded.

GCSE/National 4/National 5

GCSE Grade C or 4 English Language or an acceptable equivalent qualification

T Level - M
