This degree has been created to cater to the demand for these two forms of contemporary artistic expression, teaching the students the design skills to visualize characters and worlds, not just as images but as narratives that will excite their readers and fans. It will enable students to gain the skills to work as concept artists in the film, animation and games industries or become independent authors and artists publishing their own comics. The degree is taught by a range of lecturers who have worked as artists and authors in the comics, film and games industries on projects including The Hobbit, Tintin and Thor as well as Iron Man and Avengers for Marvel Comics.
