Course summary

If you are driven to understand and improve how products and services are designed and delivered, specialising in operations, e-business and management consulting, then this pathway is for you. As well as specialising in operations, this Business Management course will equip you with essential modern expertise in marketing, entrepreneurship, management consulting, finance, e-business, strategy and human resource management.

As part of this programme, you will spend a year abroad between your second and final year, broadening your skills and experience. Modules

In Year 1, you will typically study areas including: Accounting for Managers, Managing People, Operations Management, The Global Context of Organisation, Managing in the Digital Age.

In Year 2, you will typically study areas including: Information Systems, Economics for Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics.

In Year 3, you undertake a Study Abroad Placement.

In Year 4, you will typically study areas including: Project Management, Information Technology Service Management, International Standards.You also undertake a Final Year Project.

Assessment method

We offer a variety of assessment methods within our programmes. In addition to traditional examinations and essays, examples of alternative assessment include:

• Business report
• Group presentation
• Reflective Log

Swansea University accepts the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales as fully equivalent to x1 A-Level.
