During this exciting film degree, you’ll learn from our world-leading academics as you analyse, research, and write about a rich variety of movies, from blockbusters to world cinema and social content.
You’ll be at the heart of a fast-developing centre for the screen industries, here in Yorkshire, thanks to your degree in film studies. In year three, you can take an optional placement year, before you go on to your final year of study. This optional one-year (48 weeks) work placement can be completed in the UK or abroad and allows you to gain valuable hands-on experience.
If you’re keen to progress within movie making, production, filming, television, or screenwriting, our Film Studies degree course is for you. An impressive 100% of graduates from this subject are in work and/or further study 15 months after graduating, too (HESA Graduate Outcomes 20/21, UK domiciled graduates).
