The course is vocationally led and includes extensive opportunities to expand your skills through industry and research based activities including touring, studio skills modules and theoretical study. Our industry standard facilities allow specialist modules to hone existing skills as well as develop new talents. The course content includes touring and performing in venues across the country such as the Cavern Club, Liverpool. Recent trips and visits have included recording at Abbey Road Studios in London.

This course is designed for people who have passed HNC Music Level 4 (or alternative L4 qualification in Music). The course is vocationally led and includes extensive opportunities to expand your skills through industry and research based activities including touring, studio skills modules and theoretical study. The course includes touring and performing in venues across the country such as the Cavern Club, Liverpool. Recent trips and visits have included recording at Abbey Road Studios in London.

Our industry standard facilities allow specialist modules to hone existing skills as well as develop new talents. Successful completion of the HND gives you a Higher National Diploma in Music that can lead to access of employment in a number of areas within the industry. Another option is to progress onto degree 'top up' year in a related subject. The course is made up of modules, planned and structured to give students a systematic, coherent and cumulative experience.

Modules

A typical selection of units on the HND Music course is as follows: Advanced Performance Skills, Event Management, Mixing and Mastering and Musical Direction in Practice.

This is course is assessment by both practical and written assessments.
