Course summary

Social Policy and Social Research is a rigorous and versatile subject area which will provide knowledge of data analysis skills, primary and secondary research techniques and the key areas of social policy: health, housing, social security, criminal justice and education. It offers a thorough grounding in the research skills and data analysis techniques which are sought after by public, third and private sector employers in policy fields, consultancy and business analysis. In its specific focus on policy and research this new award speaks to the particular challenges confronting policymakers and professionals as they grapple with fast-changing social issues.
