Immerse yourself in the worlds of mathematics and computer science. Our joint honours MSci Mathematics and Computer Science programme will prepare you for an advanced career in our digital world.

You’ll dive into statistics and computer systems, programming and security while studying in a supportive and fun community. Discover how to apply analytical, statistical, computational and programming skills to formulate and tackle problems. Take your studies to a higher level with the fourth-year research project in a topic that most interests you.

We’ll help you step up to university level maths, then dive into the more advanced areas. Our expert academics will guide you to become an independent and self-motivated mathematician and computer scientist. A level Mathematics or Further Mathematics required; Computing A level is not required but some experience of programming would be advantageous. General Studies not accepted, but a grade A may be considered if you fail to meet your offer.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

BTEC only considered when combined with other qualifications.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

32 points
7,6,6 at Higher Level, including 6 in Mathematics, with a minimum of 32 points overall.

Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)

Accepted in place of a non-required A level with the equivalent grade.

Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal

Accepted in place of A levels with the following grade equivalencies: D2 = A*; D3 = A; M2 = B. Combinations of A levels and Principle subjects are accepted. NB required subjects must be offered (see A level Section)
