Course overview
On our Japanese Studies degree, you will delve into the culture, politics, and global influence of the Asia Pacific region. You will also gain proficiency in the Japanese language.
The Asia Pacific region plays a vital role in the global economy. You will gain an understanding of why this region is so influential. You'll explore its culture, history, politics, and society, while also developing employable skills applicable to a wide range of careers.
You will also achieve fluency in Japanese, a key language of the Asia Pacific region. No prior knowledge of Japanese is required.
You will also have the opportunity to spend a year in Japan through our study abroad program. This will allow you to practise your language skills and gain first-hand experience as part of your studies.
