About the course
Study in one of the UK’s largest schools of psychology while gaining valuable knowledge of specific clinical conditions, from autism to schizophrenia.
Whatever your area of interest – clinical, child development, cognitive, forensic, health, social and applied psychology or neuroscience – we have the expertise to support you.
You’ll enjoy some of the most advanced research facilities for studying psychology anywhere in the country. These include a child development research suite and a human psychophysiology laboratory.

Accredited against the requirements for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Location
Study on our beautiful, green campus on the edge of the South Downs National Park and just minutes from the vibrant seaside city of Brighton & Hove. We’re near to Gatwick airport and just over an hour from London.

Hi, I’m Gabriel and I’m a first year Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence student. I have always been obsessed with computers and knew I wanted to go into the industry from quite a young age. University was the obvious choice to me; it gave me a good path towards my future career and the whole aspect of it appealed to me. The best thing about university is being able to study a subject you're passionate about surrounded by others who feel the same. I am still unsure as to exactly which area of computer science I want to go into, but this is common, and I still have a few years of university left to help me figure this out. Qualification requirements
A level - AAB
You must have GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics, with at least grade 4 (grade C).
You should also have a broad range of GCSEs 9-4 (A*-C), including good grades in relevant subjects.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DDD
The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma should be in Applied Science or Health and Social Care.
You must have GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics, with at least grade 4 (grade C).
You should also have a broad range of GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C), including good grades in relevant subjects.
Access to HE Diploma
Pass Diploma with at least 39 level 3 credits at Merit or above including 27 credits at Distinction.
The Access course should contain Psychology or be in Science or Social Science.
You must have GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics, with at least grade 4 (grade C).
Scottish Higher - AAABB
You will need Scottish National 5 in Mathematics at grade C
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 34 points
This score should be from the full IB Diploma.
Extended Project
We take the EPQ into account when considering your application and it can be useful in the summer when your results are released if you have narrowly missed the conditions of your offer. We do not routinely include the EPQ in the conditions of your offer but we sometimes offer alternative conditions that include the EPQ.
