Qualification requirements

UCAS Tariff - Not accepted

A level - BBB - AAB

Excluding General Studies. A Level Science subject at Grade B required.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DDM - DDD

Applicants studying a BTEC Extended Diploma are also required to achieve Grade B at A Level in a Science subject.

Access to HE Diploma - D: 30 credits M: 15 credits

Pass the Access to HE Diploma with 30 L3 credits at Distinction Grade and 15 L3 credits at Merit Grade - 24 L3 credits at Distinction Grade and 21 L3 credits at Merit Grade. Both ranges must include 12 L3 Credits in an acceptable Science subject area.

Scottish Higher - ABBBB - AAABB

Science subject at Grade B required.

Scottish Advanced Higher - BBC - ABB

Science subject at Grade B required.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 30 - 34 points

Applicants will be considered with IB 34-30 or 665 or 555 in three Higher Level subjects. All applicants will be required to have Grade 5 in a HL Science subject.

English language requirements

GCSE English Language with a minimum pass of Grade C or 4
