People are the most important asset in any organisation, making effective employee management crucial in a global economy. Our BA(Hons) Business and Human Resource Management course covers key business disciplines with a focus on Human Resource Management (HRM).

You’ll apply theory to real-world HRM issues, specialising in areas like recruitment, rewards, HR systems, learning and professional development, performance management, and sustainable management of organisations. The curriculum challenges your thinking, developing your specialist knowledge of people at work and how organisations manage their human capital. Engage with industry professionals through fieldwork, pitches, and guest lectures.

From day one, you’ll participate in real-world learning experiences through our Professional Practice Stream, working with mentors and tutors to build a portfolio for potential employers. In your final year, real-world practice modules, including a client project, will enhance your CV and prepare you for the professional world. Opportunities for experience are also available through placements, study abroad, and live briefs.

This degree opens doors to careers in HR and business management. You’ll use industry-standard HR systems and collaborate with local experts, gaining the skills and recognition needed to thrive in HRM. Graduates have secured roles at leading companies like IBM and the NHS.
