"Are you going to change society for the better? Start your journey with a BSc in Politics and International Relations from the University of Southampton.
Our programme offers a firm grounding in the three main areas of political theory, comparative politics, and international relations. You'll then have the opportunity to specialise in areas of current political importance including globalisation, public policy, constitutional politics, global politics, political systems, democracy and the modern state, and more. Through a wide range of optional modules, you'll also be introduced to crucial political debates such as the dilemmas of modern migration, the role of the media, and the future of the European Union.
Our BSc Politics and International Relations degree is designed to develop skills in analytical and critical thinking, as well as highly valued independent research skills. This programme can help lead to careers in politics, national and international political institutions, the civil service, think tanks, campaign organizations, as well as careers in business and journalism."
On our Politics and International Relations course you will acquire a grounding in the theory and practise of global politics and develop an in-depth understanding of the contemporary political world.
