Course summary
Our General Engineering course will give you a holistic understanding of real-world engineering. You’ll be working in teams, taking on some of the world’s most complex problems. You'll develop your experimental and practical skills as well as mathematical and analytical approaches. Your communication, negotiation and practical skills will be developed through project-based learning. All to get you ready for your career in modern engineering.
Module themes include sustainability, systems thinking, modelling and simulation, software and programming, engineering design and management and entrepreneurship. In your final year, you’ll complete an individual project, and take part in a substantial group design project with a brief from industry or from the research labs at King’s.

Access to HE Diploma - D: 36 credits M: 9 credits P: 0 credits
Access to HE Diploma in a relevant subject (Engineering, Mathematics, Science). Must include at least 15 Level 3 credits in Mathematics awarded at Distinction.
Scottish Higher - ABB
Must be combined with two Scottish Advanced Highers. We do not count the Higher and Advanced Higher in the same subject
Scottish Advanced Higher - AA
Must be combined with three Scottish Highers. We do not count the Higher and Advanced Higher in the same subject. Must include grade A in Advanced Higher Mathematics.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 36 points
36 points overall or an aggregate score of 18 from three Higher Levels. Must include grade 6 in Higher Level Mathematics.
Notes: The total IB point score of 36 includes TOK/EE.
IB students studying the new Mathematics curriculum would be required to study Mathematics - Analysis and Approaches at Higher Level to meet the Mathematics subject requirement for this programme.

All International applicants to Undergraduate programmes are required to pay a deposit of £2,000 against their first year’s tuition fee. This deposit is payable when you firmly accept an unconditional offer to study with us, and will be offset against your tuition fees when you join King’s.
