Essential Subjects:
English Literature or English Language and Literature and History or Classical Civilisation (or equivalent) at grade A are essential.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DDD
We consider a range of BTEC qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications.
A Level in English Literature or English Language and Literature and History or Classical Civilisation (or equivalent qualification) at grade A are essential. We may also consider relevant units in your BTEC as A Level English Literature and History equivalent.
Access to HE Diploma - D: 39 credits M: 6 credits
Pass Access to HE Diploma with 39 credits at Distinction including at least 6 in English Literature-related units and 6 in History-related units and 6 at Merit or higher.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 36 points
With 6,6 in Higher Level English Literature or English Language and Literature and History.
Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024) - A
We will consider this qualification alongside or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications, as equivalent to one A Level.
Extended Project - A
If you achieve an A or higher at EPQ, you may be eligible for an alternative offer up to one A Level grade (or equivalent) below our typical offer.
Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal - D3, D3, D3
Cambridge Pre-U English Literature and History at grade D3 are essential.
OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - DDD
We consider a range of OCR qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications.
A Level in English Literature or English Language and Literature and History or Classical Civilisation (or equivalent) at grade A are essential. We may also consider relevant units in your OCR Cambridge Technical as A Level English Literature and History equivalent.
