Course summary

The course aims to give students the theory and practice or working within the travel and tourism industry at management level. You will progress your current level of knowledge and understanding of the industry and apply this to a higher level of application. You will develop skills in Finance & Funding, Marketing, Sustainable Tourism, Hospitality in the Travel and Tourism Sector, as well as undertaking an individual Research Project.

The course provides the opportunity to study: The Travel and Tourism Sector; Finance and Funding in the Travel and Tourism Sector; Marketing in Travel and Tourism, Contemporary Issues in Travel and Tourism; Hopsitality Provision in the Travel and Tourism Sector; Tourist Destinations; Visitor Attraction Management and Travel and Tourism Entrepreneurs; The Developing Manager; Research Project; Sustainable Tourism Development, Legislation and Ethics in the Travel and Tourism Sector; Legislation and Ethics in the Travel and Tourism Sector; Special Interest Tourism; Resort Management; Work based Experience and Employability Skills.Pearson are currently reviewing this Higher National Qualification. Assessment method

You will be assessed through a variety of methods including case studies, projects, group work, assignments and reports.
