Modules

You will study five core modules:
ƒ Computing project
ƒ Database design and implementation
ƒ Networking security
ƒ Programming and software development
ƒ The computing professional
Then you will select an additional one module
from the following options:
ƒ Computer systems architecture
ƒ Website and e-commerce development
ƒ Data analytics

Assessment method

The HNC in Computing and Systems Development will be taught through a variety of methods – lectures, self-directed and online learning, and scenario-based learning. You will be assessed via coursework assessments, and practical examinations.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:
