Course summary

Coming from a Foundation Degree or HND background, this course offers a flexible programme which enables students to select a study diet to suit interests and career aspirations. This flexibility is achieved through the selection of a relevant dissertation topic and via offering elective choices from a wide range of modules.

A reflective outlook is developed where the sustainability and longevity of the domestic horse is concerned, examined from a health and welfare standpoint and through the ocular of public opinion with reference to social licensing of equestrian activities.

Through the medium of equine studies, students will develop intellectual, professional and transferable skills and the knowledge necessary to enhance employability prospects at management level in a range of equine establishments.
