Course summary

Whether you want to better prepare for academic life, didn't get the grades you needed, or you've taken a break from studying, the foundation year is designed to prepare you for future studies, so everyone is welcome.

/ Gain a base level of knowledge in business information technology
/ Develop your academic and personal skills, preparing you for future studies 
/ Study the fundamental principles of business management

Our teaching is practical and career-focused, with input from our industry partners, so you'll build the expertise that employers look for. You'll develop personal skills, such as communication and confidence, alongside the practical, including business concepts and the tools and techniques used in the industry.

This programme is also available with:
Placement Year - on the placement year option, you will not pay fees to the University and will earn a wage for the work that you do.

Foundation year: Foundations of Business, Academic and Personal Skills, Sustainable Business Development, Digital Business, Business Project, Employability for Life.

Year 1: Understanding Organisations, Business Intelligence in Practice, The Future of Business, Digital and Business Skills, Data Analysis for Business, Business Information Systems. Year 2: Professional Development, Web Applications Development, Project Management, Mobile App Development, Live Project with Business and Information Technology. Year 3: Business Ethics and Sustainability, Business Innovation and Digital Transformation, Leadership and Management in Innovation and Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Business IT Project, Final Project.
