Run in partnership with educators, commissioners and practitioners from throughout the region, the course has support from Health Education England South East (HEESE).

Run in partnership with educators, commissioners and practitioners from throughout the region, the Masters course has support from Health Education England South East (HEESE). It provides a rounded education in internal medicine, including current advances in medical sciences and their application in the clinical arena. Students will gain detailed understanding of core research methodologies, critical evaluation, evidence- based approaches and the pathophysiology of conditions of clinical interest.

Entry requirements

This course is open to medical trainees who have completed a primary medical qualification and MRCP Part 1. These requirements may be relaxed under special circumstances for applicants with substantial clinical experience (please enquire prior to application).

For international students a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 is required.

This course is open to applications from UK/ EU/ Island residents and international students.

Due to visa restrictions, international students requiring a student visa (including EU/EEA who require a student visa) are eligible to apply for BSMS full-time Masters courses only. Part-time Masters courses, all PGDip and all PGCert courses are open to UK and Irish students and international students (including EU/EEA) who have an alternative visa/immigration permission to stay in the UK (such as settled/pre-settled status, Tier 2/work visa, indefinite leave to remain etc).
