Business Management (Modern Languages)

This degree is perfect for you if you have an interest in both business management and modern languages. It encompasses essential aspects of business and management, while also giving you the opportunity to acquire competence in a modern language.

In the first year, you will explore various languages through taster sessions, allowing you to experience Mandarin, French, Italian, German, and Spanish before selecting one language as your focus. In the second year, you will follow Beginners’ language modules, while in the third year, you'll advance to the intermediate level. As your studies progress you will also learn how to use your foreign language in a professional environment.

Our Final Year Projects also enhance your career potential, by working in partnership with real companies on real business-related issues.

In Year 1, you will typically study areas including: Managing People, Accounting for Managers, Operations Management, Managing in the Digital Age, The Global Context of Organisation.

In Year 2, you will typically study areas including: Economics for Business, Strategic Analysis.

In Year 3, you will typically study areas including: International Human Resource Management, Innovation Management, Project Management, Data Mining. You will also undertake a Final Year Project.

We offer a variety of assessment methods within our programmes. In addition to traditional examinations and essays, examples of alternative assessment include:
