About this Course:
To develop the specialist higher level understanding and knowledge that is required for a career in the field of Specialist or Media Hair and Makeup. To provide opportunities for learners to focus on the development and implementation of higher level and technical skills, within a Specialist and Media Hair and Makeup context. To encourage students to apply their theoretical understanding, to practice within the specialist media and makeup industry, with a view to becoming future managers and leaders within the sector. To enable learners to become critical thinkers, developing analytical skills, around the theory and application of Specialist Hair ad Media makeup, including the evaluation of previous practice, within the workplace.
Employment opportunities with this level of study can include to work in TV and Film, Organisations such as the BBC and ITV require a higher level of study in this field to work on sets. The NHS is also another organization for employment as we specialize in Moulage for the creating of simulation techniques. Additionally, learners who have studied at HE level will have opportunities to work for Chanel, Illamasqua, MAC, Urban Decay, as well as in local theatres, while opportunities will be available to move into teaching, within the Media Makeup sector.
