Course summary

This industry standard level 5 qualification is designed to address an increasing need for high quality professional and technically competent staff in the civil engineering sector. It is well recognised by employers and prepares students to move on to specific areas of civil engineering at
Level 6 or to enter employment with the qualities and abilities necessary for roles that require personal responsibility and decision making.

Being delivered part-time, one day per week over the 2 years makes it an excellent option for those currently employed, looking to further develop their knowledge and skills. As well as developing the knowledge and competencies required by employers, the course will also prepare students for progression to further Honors Degree level study

This programme is an excellent progression option from the successful completion of the HNC in Civil Engineering. Preference will be given to merit grade students.

We are unable to offer places to international students. Exeter College does not hold a CAS licence, and therefore is unable to consider applications from prospective learners who require a Student Visa. Non-UK nationals can be considered for courses as long as they already hold the Right to Study in the UK for purposes other than education.
