Course summary

Imagine the challenges facing London’s Crossrail project, designed to create 42km of new tunnels beneath the capital? Europe’s largest construction project employs 10,000 people on 45 sites and involves jobs including mechanical, electrical and civil engineering, project management and health and safety. The UK is currently experiencing a shortage of engineering skills and the economy needs 1.8m more engineers by 2025.

Our HNC in General Engineering provides a fantastic platform for a career working on exciting projects with endless job opportunities. You will gain skills in engineering design, mechanical principles, maths, CAD and science for engineering and how to manage a professional engineering project.

This course is also available to complete on a part-time basis, running over 2 years.
