Whether you’re running a corner shop or a multinational company, your business will rely on global supply chains and complex interactions. Our International Business Management degree will equip you with the skills, knowledge and experience to navigate these challenges.
You will learn about the rules that govern the movement of goods, services, people and capital, as well as the practicalities of trading across borders. It could range from how to enter a new market or work with a new trading partner through to understanding cultural differences.
You’ll explore everything from a real-world perspective, with live industry briefs, case studies and the chance to create your own consultancy to support a company. There will also be business simulations, where you could be making financial decisions and looking at where to sell your products.
On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: BSc (Hons) International Business Management
Year One: Foundations of Human Resource Management; Foundations of Management; Global Visitor Economy; Introduction to Management Accounting; Managerial Economics; Marketing in the Business Environment
Year Two: Business Creativity and Innovation; Global Human Resource Management; Global Supply Chain and Logistics; Information Systems in Organisations; International Trade and Finance; Managing across Cultures
Year Three: Consultancy Project; Corporate Reputation and Ethics; Global Marketing Management; Innovative Change Management; International Business Strategy
Assessment methods depend on the modules you will be studying. The primary methods of assessment are coursework and evaluative assignments, digital portfolio development, in-class tests, presentations (both individual and group) and examinations. Most modules include a Tutorial Assessment, which carry a weighting of around 10% and your attendance and participation in class will be reflected in the awarded mark.
