Our BA(Hons) Media and Communication degree combines theory and practice equipping you with the fundamental tools of communication. The balance between academic and practical work makes our programme unique in the UK and ensures our graduates are highly employable. You’ll study a broad range of subjects including in broadcasting, the press, cinema, and the internet.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 26 points
IB Diploma 26 points including HL English or Media at 4
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H1, H2, H3, H3
Scottish HNC - Pass
Level 2 Entry:
SQA 15 Credit: HNC Media and Communication or HNC Creative Industries TV/Radio with B in the graded units or Next Gen HNC Television, Achieved in Merit
Scottish HND - Pass
Level 3 Entry:
SQA HND Media and Communication, HND Advertising and PR, HND Practical Journalism with AB/BA in the graded units or Next Gen HND in TV/Radio, Achieved with Merit
Foundation Apprenticeship (SCQF Level 6) - Pass
Accepted as equivalent to one Higher at grade B as part of the overall grade profile of Highers required for entry. Any essential subjects at Higher should still be achieved in addition to the Foundation Apprenticeship.
