The one-year Business and Management (Top-up) degree at Aberystwyth University is perfect preparation for your career in the business world. The course has been engineered for a student who wants to excel and succeed to the top level of global business management practice and who has already achieved a recognised standard of learning in a relevant subject.

At Aberystwyth Business School, you will develop your knowledge of essential elements of business including human resource management, organisational behaviour, business strategy and operations, marketing, and business data analytics. Our team of expert academics will develop your understanding of management in the public, private and third (social enterprise) sectors. During the course, you will develop awareness of the challenges facing management, and the combined impact of the economic, financial, human and legal issues that managers deal with on a daily basis. You will also develop the skills to analyse management issues in relation to company priorities, external factors and current good practice.

Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)

Accepted in lieu of one A-Level, excluding any specified subjects.

Entry qualifications will be assessed on a case by case basis and in relation to the respective country’s academic programmes and how the candidate’s modules match with our programme. Entry will normally be accepted with a correctly matched:
• Diploma Of Higher Education (DipHE)
• Level 5 Foundation Degree
• Level 5 Higher National Diploma (HND)
• Level 5 Award
• Level 5 Certificate
• Level 5 Diploma
• Level 5 NVQ
• International equivalents, such as Advanced or Higher Diplomas or Associate Degrees
• Completion of two years of a relevant BA (Hons) degree from a recognised institution

A minimum grade C or grade 4 pass in GCSE (or equivalent) English or Welsh is a requirement for entry to all our degree schemes. Business, Psychology, Mathematics, and Science degree schemes also require a minimum grade C or grade 4 pass in Mathematics and/or Science at GCSE (or equivalent).
