About the course
Combine your interests in art with your passion for film.
You’ll explore why art history matters to society, culture and politics. Watching a wide range of films, you’ll find out how cinema entertains, informs and influences its audiences.
You’ll examine every aspect of visual and material culture, from photography to architecture to fashion. You’ll investigate global film cultures; question cinematic representations of gender, race and sexuality; and analyse popular genres.
Our engaged and passionate tutors will guide you through each year of your degree. And you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with renowned curators and our partners in the industry.
Throughout your studies, you’ll develop your critical and analytical skills. Specialist options allow you to tailor your degree to what inspires you most.

Pass Diploma with at least 39 level 3 credits at Merit or above including 24 credits at Distinction.

Extended Project
We take the EPQ into account when considering your application and it can be useful in the summer when your results are released if you have narrowly missed the conditions of your offer.
