Forensic Science with Criminology and Industrial Placement

Course summary

On this exciting four-year course, you’ll learn from experts in the Criminal Justice System and emergency services and get the chance to impress an employer during a placement year.

Explore the exciting disciplines of Forensic Science and Criminology in our new crime scene facilities. You'll have access to a purpose-built vehicle examination garage, modern lab spaces, specialised decomposition facilities and a mock mortuary. We'll guide you through practical crime scenes and mass disaster scenarios and let you try out your Disaster Victim Identification skills.

You'll be taught by industry experts with years of hands-on experience, including our Department of Law and Criminology at Greenwich Campus. You'll work alongside experts from Kent Fire Brigade, the Metropolitan and Kent Police, Counter Terrorism, and other organisations. During a placement year, you'll be able to put your skills into practice and showcase your skills to employers.

The course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences (for which you'll receive free membership throughout your studies). If you're excited by forensic investigations or you want to understand the cause of terrorism and cybercrime, this four-year course is the ideal start for your professional future.

  • This course is taught at our Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent with one day a week at our Greenwich Campus.
